In 2026, Persona 5: The Phantom X had reached a point where many players could recite the best reroll targets from memory. Yet Minami Miyashita still stood apart. She was not the flashiest Phantom Idol, and her sophomore dream of becoming a nurse felt almost too gentle for the brutal Shadows that awaited players. But those who cleared her secondary quest 'Steel Your Heart' and pulled Marian from the gacha banner quickly realized something important. She was the best healer in the entire game.
🩺 Understanding Marian's Kit
Marian and her Persona, Thalia, are aligned with the Bless element. This gives her natural resistance to Bless damage and makes her weak to Nuclear attacks. That single weakness was easy to forgive. Most rosters lacked Bless coverage, and Marian's Nurse's Light could punish Curse-aligned enemies while still supporting the team. Her kit was built around Diagnosis stacks. She could hold up to 10 of them, and every stack made Compassionate Cure more powerful.
Her core skill list included:
-
Nurse's Light: deals Bless damage to one foe equal to 37.3% of her max HP, grants one Blessing stack to the party, and generates one Diagnosis stack.
-
Healing Grace: restores HP equal to 11.4% of her max HP plus 112 to the lowest-HP ally and one selected ally. It cures two debuffs, grants Blessing, and creates a two-turn healing-over-time effect.
-
Compassionate Cure: consumes all Diagnosis stacks to heal a selected ally and the lowest-HP ally multiple times. Each stack increases the healing and raises the max HP of all allies, except Minami, by 7.5% of her max HP for two turns.
-
Thief Tactics: her Highlight skill heals the party, cures debuffs, increases max HP, and provides a short end-of-action recovery effect.
-
Health Comes First: after healing an ally, that ally gains bonus damage based on their active Blessing stacks, up to 30% for one turn.
-
Peace of Mind: at the start of battle, the whole party gains bonus max HP equal to 10% of Minami's max HP, capped at 500.
The best rotation was not complicated. Players were told to alternate between Nurse's Light and Healing Grace. This filled the party with Blessing stacks and charged Minami's Diagnosis pool. Once enough stacks were ready, Compassionate Cure could swing a fight back from the edge. It was especially valuable on squishy allies like Assassins and Sweepers, who needed to survive long enough to use their own mechanics.
Minami's priority stats were straightforward. She wanted flat HP, HP percentage, HP recovery, and SP recovery. Her heals scaled heavily with her own max HP, and her SP pool drained quickly in longer battles.
| Priority | Stat |
|---|---|
| 1 | Flat HP |
| 2 | HP % |
| 3 | HP Recovery |
| 4 | SP Recovery |
Skill leveling order also mattered. Seasoned players recommended raising Compassionate Cure first, then Thief Tactics, Healing Grace, and Nurse's Light. This order maximized her emergency healing and party-wide max HP value.
Awareness levels changed everything. At higher Awareness, Minami gained more healing and an armor penetration attack buff. At max Awareness, she could automatically resurrect a fallen ally on her next turn, once per combat. It was the kind of effect that turned an already SS-tier character into a healing powerhouse. Many players claimed she surpassed Lufel and Mona combined.

💉 Weapons and Revelation Cards
Weapons were another reason to invest. Angel Heart, her top-tier 5-star weapon, increased her max HP by 30%, boosted healing output by 10% while she had Diagnosis, and increased party damage by 25% for one turn when spending Diagnosis. The damage buff alone made it one of the most desirable support weapons in the game. Hymn of Life was the budget alternative from the Airsoft Shop. It increased healing and continuous healing effects, and had a chance to grant Blessing after a healing skill. But it could not match Angel Heart.
For Revelation Cards, Love & Faith was the obvious choice. It offered a 9% healing boost, an extra 23% healing for allies below 50% HP, and a Faith effect that increased healing by 1% for every 800 HP she had, up to 20%. This cap required 16,000 HP, so well-built Minami players aimed for that number. In fights like Shadow Miyazawa, where damage over time and ailments slowly wore down the party, this set kept everyone alive.

🛡️ Best Team Composition
Marian could fit into almost any team, but she worked best beside heavy hitters like Joker, Skull, Mont, and Closer. Her ideal team, however, used Wonder with an Ice Build, Soy, Mont, and Okyann as Elucidator. Mont supplied enormous DPS. Soy buffed the party's max HP, which made Minami's heals stronger. Minami then empowered Soy's HP scaling, creating an endless loop of shields, healing, and recovery. It was a defensive engine that could outlast many enemies.
By 2026, Marian had not lost her place at the top. She was still one of the most valuable Phantom Idols to chase, especially for players who understood that the best offense often begins with not dying. Minami did not just heal. She made an entire team feel unbreakable.
